Thomas Froment is Program Lead for Developer Tools at the Eclipse Foundation, where he works with open source communities and industry partners around developer tooling, including open source tools such as Eclipse IDE, Theia AI and Open VSX. His work focuses on the evolution of open source developer tools and how AI agents, open protocols and language models can be integrated into development environments while keeping developers in control of their tools and data. Thomas is a frequent speaker at international conferences on developer tooling, open source, and AI.
