JAVA Fest is aimed at giving a fair opportunity to deserving African talent especially in avenues where they will normally be overlooked due to the massive presence of west African and south African acts in a market almost already monopolized by entertainment giants from South Africa and Nigeria.
Many African talents that emerge from outside these areas feel left out of major showcases like the One African Fest, Afrimma and other renown festivals and awards which are predominantly dominated by acts from the aforementioned countries. JAVA Fest acknowledges that vacuum and aims at giving a fair opportunity to deserving talents from under promoted markets especially a country like Cameroon.
Cameroon is the only country in Africa that speaks both English and French as its official languages thus the most capable market in Africa as it can cater to both the English and French consumers. Also known as Africa in miniature Cameroon with its unique bilingual nature boasts almost 230 different ethnic groups who migrated from all across Africa making it the beacon of African representation across the world. JAVA Fest is aims at bringing out the voices of the silent majority who have worked very hard but have not received their due recognition. our goal is to reverse this trend and provide to deserving acts a platform to be celebrated and uplifted.
